Think Right

Image
Dear Partner, Friends & Family, If you want to be successful, then you must learn to think right . -  Dr. Shaun Marler Recently, I was meditating on the scripture in the book of  Proverbs 23:7. "For as he thinks in his heart, so is he.  “Eat and drink!” he says to you, But his heart is not with you." Over the years, I have preached on this scripture numerous times, but as I revisited it, I saw it yet again in a new light.  I have always liked to say,  "As a man thinks in his heart, so is he or so he becomes."  Words are powerful!   Thoughts are words in picture form.  We need to feed on the right thoughts, pictures made up of the right words.   We need to think right!   As we learn to think right, it will cause us to act right.  We are drawn to our predominate thinking patterns. These thought patterns become the meditations and musings of our mind and heart.  The more we meditate on a given thing, either positive or negative, we are in actual fact creating that

Don't Waver

Dear family, friends and partners, "All the strength and force of man comes from his faith in things unseen.  He who believes is strong; he who doubts is weak.  Strong convictions precede great actions. The man strongly possessed of an idea is the master of all who are uncertain or wavering.  Clear, deep, living convictions rule the world."  - James Freeman Clarke "Let us hold fast the confession of our hope without wavering, for He who promised is faithful."  Hebrews 10:23 "In one of the decisive battles of World War I, disastrous reports poured into the headquarters of Marshal Foch , the commander of the Allied forces. The great general never lost heart. When things were at their worst, he drafted his famous order which is now in all textbooks of military strategy: "My center is giving way, my right is pushed back, my left is wavering. The situation is excellent. I shall attack!"   The bible tells us in the book of James, " But let him ask in

Hold Fast!

Dear Partners, Family and Friends, "But hold fast what you have till I come"  Revelation 2:25. In these changing, challenging and uncertain times,  we have the word of God as an anchor for our souls .  Our minds and our emotions are all part of the soul of our being.  We express emotions and attitudes from our heart through our soul which affects even our physical posture. Jesus instructs us to hold fast to that which we have, to stay steadfast and firm in our faith until He comes.  As Bob Dylan sang,  "For the times they are a-changin. "  It is so good to have a constant and unchanging word of victory and hope from our God in these challenging times.   I dare you  to believe that you serve a God who changes not, and  He has not changed His mind about you or  His love plan for your life!    "For I know the plans I have for you,” declares the Lord, “plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future"   Jeremiah 29:11. I dare you

Give Thanks!

D ear Partners, Family & Friends, "In everything give thanks: for this is the will of God in Christ Jesus concerning you"   1 Thessalonians 5:18.  It was that famous singer Willie Nelson who said,  "When I started counting my blessings, my whole life turned around."   It is such a privilege to write to you again. Wow! It is already Autumn, and a new season has begun. I pray that a new season is beginning in your life! Obviously, in other parts of the world, Spring has just begun. Seasons come, and seasons go. No season lasts forever, but with the turning of the seasons, new life begins.   I really like the quote from Willie Nelson that I have shared above. I believe, and I pray for you today, regardless of where you live in the world, this new season would bring a new beginning and a new joy to life in you. We are instructed in God's word to give thanks in every circumstance of life. God actually says that this is His will for us. Why?  "Now thanks be u
