One of the greatest enemies of real faith is a thing called, “mental assent”. People who act in mental assent say they believe the Word, but when the pressure is on, they go to pieces and start speaking fear and unbelief. You can tell if they really believe the Word or not, by what is coming out of their mouth. If they’re questioning God’s love, His ability or just plain speaking the opposite to what God says, then you know they were in mental assent and not faith.
