Tis the Season to Rejoice!

Image
Dear Partner, Family and Friends,    "And my spirit has rejoiced in God my Saviour." -  Luke 1:47 Mary said, "My soul does magnify the Lord!"  She went on to say that her spirit was rejoicing in her God, her Saviour.  She knew He had regarded her, favoured her and blessed her above all women.  Mary knew that she carried the Christ Child, the Son of God and Saviour of the whole earth!   Today, it is time for our spirits to rejoice in God our Saviour.  We like Mary, have been highly favoured, we are the blessed of the Lord.  We have found favour with God because unto us a child  is born and unto us, a Son is given  (Isaiah 9:6 ).   Jesus is the reason for the season and we have received Him into our hearts and lives.  He is the greatest Christmas present ever given.  We are born again, born to win, born to succeed and all because of the first Noel, that first Christmas Day, when the angels sang, "Glory to God in the highest, and on earth peace, goodwill tow

A Time and a Purpose

Image
Dear Partners, Family and Friends,  "To everything there is a season, a time for every purpose under heaven."   Ecclesiastes 3:1 As this year draws to a close and I sit writing this blog, the above scripture was quickened to me by the Lord. This year has definitely been a year to remember. There has not been a year quite like this one in my whole life. We have seen worldwide lockdown of countries. Families have not been able to see loved ones and businesses have been under great financial stress. Along with Covid-19, there have been many other natural disasters and calamities around our world. Let's not forget that the year started with the horrendous bushfires in Australia. Those fires wreaked great havoc on many lives, businesses and thousands of hectares of bushland was destroyed, along with many animals.   Praise God for all of the people and organizations that have reached out and lent a helping hand to others through these times. It's in times l

What Are You Looking At?

Image
  Dear Partner, Friends & Family, "If you can look up, you can get up!"  -   Eric Thomas Hebrews 12:2 says, "Looking unto Jesus the author and finisher of our faith; who for the joy that was set before him endured the cross, despising the shame, and is set down at the right hand of the throne of God." Once again, I want to challenge you with the above thought "What Are You Looking At?" As this year draws to a close, I want to encourage every one of you to look up , and as I shared in my blog two weeks ago, it is important what we are focusing our main attention upon.  Are you looking at the circumstances that surround you and our world today?  Or are you, as the scripture above says, "Looking unto Jesus."  This year has been a very difficult and trying year, even heartbreaking for many.  During the course of the year, the nations have been affected by plagues, pestilences and other natural disasters.  The world's economy has been shaken;

Praise Your Way Through Life Today

Image
Dear Partner, Friends and Family, "Stand up and bless the Lord you people of His choice; stand up and bless the Lord, your God, with heart and soul and voice"  - James Montgomery  (1771-1854)  The Lord has favoured you greatly. Before the earth was, He chose you and entered into a covenant with you. He gave you to His son Jesus and He gave His son Jesus to you. When we accept Him and what He has done for us, when we believe on His name, He breathes His Spirit into us, so we can say ‘Abba, Father’ or ‘my Daddy God’ (Romans 8:15). Surely you must praise Him! How can we ever be totally satisfied in life if we do not praise Him? To truly satisfy the deep longing of our heart or spirit we must learn to exalt, honour and praise the Lord our God. We need to launch out into His sea of Love and express our deepest appreciation to Him for who He is and what He has done for us. Your name is written in the Lamb’s book of Life. Through Him, you will live forever.  Remember Proverbs 18:

Look Up, Not Down

Image
Dear Partner, Friend and Family, "Praise your way through life today and be refreshed by praying in the Holy Spirit"  - Dr Shaun Marler As this year is drawing to a close, I want to encourage every one of you to continue to look up, not down or around.  When we look around, we see the circumstances.  This year has been a very difficult and trying year even heartbreaking for many.  During the course of the year, the nations have been affected by plagues, pestilences and other natural disasters.  The world's economy has been shaken; many businesses and families have been affected in many adverse ways.   When we look down, we are discouraged.  By looking down, we can be disheartened, lose hope and enter into despair.  This is not how God wants us to feel, think or live our lives.  God does not give us a spirit of fear, doubt or unbelief. God does not want us to look at the circumstances of what is going on in our world and be adversely affected by them. When we look up, we

Mission Update

Image
Dear Partner, Family and Friends, World Harvest Ministries/iHarvest Church continues to spread the gospel, reaching the poor and the needy and carrying out the great commission.  I want to take this opportunity to thank you, our partners, for helping us with this important and life-changing work.   Your partnership is precious and valuable to us!  We are praying for you and I want to encourage you with this word. Firstly, in  Proverbs 11:30 ,  "The fruit of the righteous is a tree of life, and he that wins souls is wise."   Secondly, it instructs us in Proverbs 19:17 , "He that gives to the poor lends to the Lord and God will repay back to him that which he gave." Thirdly, it tells us in the Word that if we open our hands wide to the poor and give, for this good work, God will never let us fail. Then in Matthew, God instructs us to visit the prisoners, feed the poor and clothe the naked (Matthew 25).   Prison Outreach Report I am pleased to let you know Ps. Brian a

See Your Mountain Moved

Image
 Dear Partners, Family and Friends, "If you fix your eyes on the One who made the mountains, the One that made the mountains can and will remove the personal mountains of problems, in your way."  - Dr Shaun Marler Last week I wrote about perseverance in prayer.  On Sunday just gone, I preached a message on this subject and was led to speak about seeing your mountains moved.  Death and life are in the power of our tongue, and we must learn to speak what God says.  I have included the Youtube link to the video of last Sunday's message at the end of this blog.   Faith Sees the Unseen Faith sees the unseen.  Faith sees with the spiritual eye what the natural eye cannot yet see.   See it done with your spiritual eyes, the eyes of faith!  In Mark 11:23 - 24 it says, “For truly I say unto you, That whosoever shall say unto this mountain, Be removed, and be cast into the sea; and shall not doubt in his heart, but shall believe that those things which he says shall come to pass;

Prayer

Image
Dear Partners, Friends and Family,  "Nothing is impossible with God when you pray effectively   - Tom Brown Last week the Lord had me write on perseverance.  When I asked the Lord, "What should I share this week?"  I felt impressed by the Spirit to share on prayer.  I heard the phrase "Persevere in prayer." I like the quote that I have shared above, which I found on the back of Bishop Tom Brown's book, "Prayers that Get Results".   (This book is available through Whitaker House.)   If there was ever a time when we need to persevere in prayer, until what God has promised is fully manifested, it is now!  As you are aware, America is going to the polls to vote on who will run their country for the next four years.  Here in Queensland, where I live, we are also voting for who will lead our state for the next four years.  It is crucial that we vote and that we exercise our vote wisely.  I encourage you to find out what your representatives believe an

Perseverance

Image
Dear Partners, Family & Friends, "Perseverance; the necessary ingredient of character we all need to achieve our dreams, in the face of any challenges or obstacles, because our dreams are worth it!"   - Dr Shaun Marler. Perseverance is to keep on doing something despite difficulty or delay in achieving success.  Perseverance is the quality of those who persevere to achieve something worthwhile, where others only give up and quit.   It takes planning and perseverance to be successful in the face of obstacles.  Regardless of the presence of challenges, difficulties and discouragement, perseverance is a strength within the virtue category of courage, that all winners possess.  It is a needed ingredient to achieve their goals and realize their dream.  In order for us to love more, reach more, win more and do more for Jesus, we all need the virtue or character quality of perseverance.  When others are challenged to quit, give up or throw in the towel, we must learn to perse

Do More

Image
Dear family, friends and partners, "Together we can love more, reach more, win more and do more for Jesus"  - Dr Shaun Marler. I have been sharing on the above quote for the last few weeks. Today, I want to share a quote with you from Albert Einstein.  "There are only two ways to live your life. One is as though nothing is a miracle. The other is as though everything is a miracle." - Albert Einstein. I love this quote. It reminds me of the scripture in Deuteronomy 30:19 , "I call heaven and earth as witnesses today against you, that I have set before you life and death, blessing and cursing; therefore choose life, that both you and your descendants may live;" Life is a miracle. Love is a miracle . When we think about the universe and all the planetary and celestial bodies, we have to acknowledge that this planet earth is a miracle. Out of the whole of creation, there is no planet like our planet.   I believe the best way to live is as though everything

Win More

Image
Dear Partner, family and friends, "I hated every minute of training, but I said;  don't quit!   Suffer now and live the rest of your life as a champion."  - Muhammad Ali We have been talking about reaching more, loving more, and now this week, I want to speak about winning more for Jesus! I love the above quote by the greatest boxer of all time, Muhammad Ali. He said he hated every minute of training, but he refused to quit! He knew if he suffered now, through the strict regime of training, he would be able to live the rest of his life like a champion! We all know he achieved his goals. In the Bible, the Apostle Paul speaks about how he disciplines his body, like that of a great boxer. I am sure if he was alive today, he could draw from the example of Muhammad Ali's boxing career.  The Apostle Paul went on to say that through strict discipline and training, like that of a fine athlete, he keeps his body under subjection, with the goal of winning more souls for Chri

Love More

Image
Dear Partners, Family & Friends, "Together we can reach more, love more, win more and do more for Jesus" - Dr. Shaun Marler  Hope you enjoyed last weeks blog, I thought I would continue along the same theme, encouraging all of us to win souls for Jesus!    Proverbs 11:30 says, "The fruit of the righteous is a tree of life; and he that wins souls is wise. " From the above scripture, we can see how important soul winning is. Bringing people into God's kingdom is a very wise thing for us all to participate in.  It is a tree of life, that yields fruit for all eternity. There are two places where people will spend eternity, either with God in enteral paradise, love and bliss.  Or in the regions of hell, darkness and the damned.  It is only through the sacrifice of the Son, Jesus Christ, and by His love and grace, believing in Him, that we can enter into life.  Jesus paid the price for us all to go free, but as Isaiah 53:8a  says,  He was taken from prison and

Reaching Out

Image
Dear Partner, Family & Friends,  "Together we can reach more, love more, win more and do more for Jesus" -  Dr. Shaun Marler There is a saying that says,  "Teamwork makes the dream work."   We are all dreaming of a great revival and a billion soul harvest.  We are also praying to this end.  This we must do, and at the same time,  we must go!   Go to our neighbours, our communities, our families, our world!  In these days of Covid-19 restrictions and lockdowns, we have a great opportunity to reach those in our own backyard.   Social media, smartphones, emails and modern technology has given us all the ability to be a voice for Jesus!    Jesus said in  Matthew 4:19 ,  "And he saith unto them, Follow me, and I will make you fishers of men." This is a powerful statement and a promise from our Lord, that if we follow Him,  He has the ability to make us expert fishers of people .  Jesus died to save the whole world, that includes you, I and our families, fro

Praise Power

Image
Dear  Partners, family and friends, "Use Praise Power to dynamite away your problems "  - Dr. Shaun Marler Praise welcomes the Holy Spirit! Praise gives you victory in spiritual warfare! Many years ago, my good friend, Don Gossett, who is now in glory, use to encourage me to write books.  The first book I wrote was 'Praise Power' .  I remember Don asked me for a copy of my book because he said he wanted to read it.  I replied to him, "But Don, you have written dozen of books on praise and have a great revelation on the subject, and I have learnt so much about praise from you.  I don't think there is anything you could learn from my book."  To which Don replied, "Shaun, I just love to read everything written about praise."  Don Gossett was a man who not only wrote about praise, read about praise and did extensive studies on the topic, but he was a man who lived the praise life.  I have included a picture of my book on praise and a link to where
