A Time and a Purpose

 Dear Partners, Family and Friends,

"To everything there is a season, a time for every purpose under heaven."  Ecclesiastes 3:1

As this year draws to a close and I sit writing this blog, the above scripture was quickened to me by the Lord. This year has definitely been a year to remember. There has not been a year quite like this one in my whole life. We have seen worldwide lockdown of countries. Families have not been able to see loved ones and businesses have been under great financial stress. Along with Covid-19, there have been many other natural disasters and calamities around our world. Let's not forget that the year started with the horrendous bushfires in Australia. Those fires wreaked great havoc on many lives, businesses and thousands of hectares of bushland was destroyed, along with many animals.

Praise God for all of the people and organizations that have reached out and lent a helping hand to others through these times. It's in times like this that we realize the great need we have for God, family and each other. Some folk have lost family members and they really need our words of comfort and prayers of support.

As I reflect on the above scripture, I am reminded of another couple of scriptures; namely, God is love.

"He who does not love does not know God, for God is love." 1 John 4:8

"And we know that all things work together for good to those who love God, to those who are the called according to His purpose." Romans 8:28

"The thief comes not, but for to steal, and to kill, and to destroy: I am come that they might have life, and that they might have it more abundantly." John 10:10

God loves us, and He is working for our good in every situation and circumstance of life. God shows us that it is the devil, Satan the thief, who comes to steal, kill and destroy. God has a plan, and a purpose for our life and He wants to fulfil our dreams, giving us a future and a hope of better days to come.

There are greater and more glorious days ahead for the church. We are heading into the days of the greater glory. It will get tougher for the world and there will be more perilous times, plagues and trials to come. Jesus and the Holy Spirit prophesied this. In the midst of these times, God the Father is going to pour out His Spirit in greater glory, as it says in the book of Haggai. "The glory of the last house will be greater than the former." I pray with great expectation and look forward to these days of greater glory! I stand to see a great revival, ingathering and harvest of souls.

To everything there is a season and a time to every purpose under heaven. Know this then, that this season we have been in this last year will pass. It will run its allotted time and course. We know that it did not come from God but from the enemy.  If we pray, stand and take authority, in the Name of Jesus, the authority that has been delegated to us in this time, we will have the victory promised to us in the Word.

Let's not just go through this time and season, but let us all grow through this time. Let us seek God as to what His purpose is, and where he wants us to be and doing in the new season that is dawning. As one season draws to a close, another season dawns. God has a plan and purpose for our lives and He wants us to reign and rule in life through Jesus Christ.

Praise Report!  Pastor Brian led 12 men to the Lord in our prison outreach and ministry last week. Our 'Awakening Sisters' (Indigenous Life Group) have ministered in parks and at the beachfront to over a hundred people, leading 20+ people to the Lord and praying for their healings, in the last few weeks.

I dare you to believe that your best is still to come! I dare you to believe that we are heading into the days of great revival and the greater glory.

Raj took to the streets of India this month, giving out much-needed food to the poor and destitute, recovering from the results of lockdown, financial hardships, mental anguish and restrictions due to Covid-19.

This is Sarat. He grew up in our orphanage. He now has a job as a food service helper in a kiosk. He sends his thanks to you all!

One young lady, Anusha, who grew up in our orphanage home, married. We pray God's love and blessings on this couple and their future children. We also pray they continue to grow in the love and care of the Lord.
