Favour

Hi Partners, Family and Friends,

This week I have been meditating on the favour of God!  I looked up the dictionary meaning of the word 'favour'!  It means 'approval, support or liking for someone or something'.  It is an act of kindness beyond what is due or unusual.  It comes from an ancient word meaning 'favour of the divine'.  WOW!  That is powerful!  We have the favour of God and 'The Blessing of Abraham', through our Lord Jesus Christ.  Remember what Jesus did for us in 2 Corinthians 8:9;

"For you know the grace of our Lord Jesus Christ, that though he was rich, yet for your sake he became poor, so that you through his poverty might become rich."

The word grace here in this scripture is the Greek word 'khar-ece' (charis).  This word means 'grace, kindness, grace as a gift or blessing brought to man by Jesus Christ'.  It means 'His favour, grace', it means 'inclined favourable towards, leaning towards to share benefit'.  So in other words it is all bent towards you! 

My good mate Col Stringer likes to say, "You are highly favoured, greatly loved and deeply blessed!"  In my opinion, that just sums it up.  So if you can, come along this Sunday or download the message from the App, the following week and listen to a word in season, a now word on 'The Set Time of Favour' from Psalm 102.   

Update.  My good friend Pastor Dale Smith is in the Philippines launching ICFM with a team from America.  Please pray for all the Pastors to get a fresh infilling and super injection of FAITH, through the word of God.  We, as a ministry, (with the help of you, our Partners) sowed a financial seed into this work to bless the Pastors in the Philippines and encourage them in their walk with God. 

Praise Report. You our Partners have helped us, through Raj and our team on the ground in India, to financially help a family re-establish their tailoring business.   Through escalating medical and hospital bills this family and their business faced financial ruin and bankruptcy.  Through the faithful giving of our partners we were able to help this family through their time of great need.

Honour your man of God

“Render to all men their dues. [Pay] taxes to whom taxes are due, revenue to whom revenue is due, respect to whom respect is due, and honor to whom honor is due.” Romans 13:7 (AMP) The word honour means: to respect, to revere, to treat with deference and submission and perform relevant duties to. Honouring your man of God is vital in the life of every born-again believer. Even as a Senior Pastor, it is a privilege for me to honour the men of God that I consider my spiritual fathers and mentors. They are life coaches to me on my spiritual journey to success, shining examples of excellence in ministry, men to whom I look for advice, prayer, guidance and leadership. THE LAW OF REPETITION

What you hear repeatedly, you will eventually believe. Repetition, our school teachers know this basic law of learning. That’s why when we were at school, we learned many things in our early years by repetition. Someone once said, “You must hear something at least 16 times, before you eventually believe it”. Television commercials are repeated over and over. These are backed up by newspaper, magazine, internet and billboard advertisements. The marketers know we must continually hear and see something before we respond to it.  Romans 10:17 says “ So then faith cometh by hearing, and hearing by the word of God ”.  It simply takes time to absorb a message.
