Manifested Love

Dear Family, Partners and Friends,

It wasn't the nails that held Jesus to the cross. It was his love for you. - Dr. Shaun Marler

Passover is a Time of Joy

Passover (Easter) is a time to celebrate Jesus and all He has done for us and is still doing for us by His word and Spirit.  He ever lives to make intercession for us.

“Wherefore he is able also to save them to the uttermost that come unto God by him, seeing he ever liveth to make intercession for them. For such a High Priest was fitting for us, who is holy, harmless, undefiled, separate from sinners, and has become higher than the heavens; (Hebrew 7:25-26).

It was customary of the Israelites to joyously sing Psalm 118 at every Passover. So this was the song that Jesus sang just before He was led to the cross to die for us.  This Psalm contains the words, “This is the day that the Lord has made. I will rejoice and be glad in it.”  Even though He was on His way to the cross to die for the sins of the whole world and receive in His own body the full curse of the law, He kept the joy of spending eternity with you before His eyes and on His mind.  He focused on you and I being set free.

Easter then needs to be a special moment, a time of personal reflection and meditation.  We can re-focus and prioritize ourselves on what is really important in our lives, family and church.  It is a time to repent if we are under the conviction of the Spirit, and we can deal with our sins and unbelief, laying them aside.  Putting them under the blood of Jesus, that is casting them into the sea of God’s forgetfulness.  Free of sin and condemnation because of what Christ has achieved.  We can forgive anyone that has wronged us in any way and ask forgiveness if necessary of others, realigning ourselves to the Kingdom of God and its priorities.

Passover (Easter) is a Time to Sing and Rejoice

Together, this Passover let us take communion with a greater understanding of what it cost God to purchase our salvation.

Through communion, we can remember Jesus, and all He did for us.  We can then pull down strongholds in our mind by the Spirit of God and bring our hearts and minds back to who we are in Christ and who Christ is in us.  It is the Spirit who brings us back to the remembrance of Jesus and what we have access to in Him.

“Let us therefore come boldly unto the throne of grace, that we may obtain mercy, and find grace to help in time of need” (Hebrews 4:16).

The Holy Spirit is our comforter, strengthener and our advocate.  By His grace and divine empowerment, we need to line up our thinking with God’s will and plan for our lives.

“For I know the thoughts that I think toward you, saith the Lord, thoughts of peace, and not of evil, to give you a hope and a future” (Jeremiah 29:11).

Communion should be a time where we sing songs of joy, praise and love to our Lord, because He is good and His mercy endures forever.

I pray you have a safe and prosperous Passover this year, spending quality time with your family and your Lord.

God bless and much love,

Ps. Shaun Marler
