Let It Rain!

Rain just doesn't fall, it is gravity that pulls it down. - Charlotte Thom

Zechariah 10:1 says, "Ask the Lord for rain in the time of the latter rain.  The Lord will make flashing clouds; He will give them showers of rain, grass in the field for everyone."

I always remember, many years ago, when Charlotte Thom visited our church and spoke on the presence of God and the last great outpouring of the Holy Spirit.  God had spoken to Charlotte and He dropped this revelation into her spirit (I like to say, "A revelation is a kiss from God").  God has kissed Charlotte with this awesome revelation that rain just doesn't fall but the gravity of the earth pulls it down.  In the same way, she went on to explain, that it is the hunger in our hearts that draws the presence of God to us.  

James 4:8 says, "Draw near to God and He will draw near to you. Cleanse your hands, you sinners; and purify your hearts, you double-minded."

It is time to get our lives right, it is time to humble ourselves before Him and to ask for the rain.  From the above scripture, we can see that it is God's will to prosper everyone.  He promises everyone grass in his field (fruitful land, fertile land, healthy land, land that produces increase), so that we can feed our flocks, businesses, families and ourselves.  

Whatever your chosen field of endeavour is, God wants to prosper you!  From the above scripture in Zechariah 10, we can see that we have to ask God for the rain, even though it is the time for the latter rain.  So often we are waiting for God to move, or do something on our behalf and for us.  Yet God is often waiting for us.  Our Lord has gone to the cross, died for us and paid the price for us to have victory in life!  He has paid the price for us to have and live in the blessing of Abraham.  He has given to us authority to reign and rule on this earth where He has placed us to live.  

The rain is coming!  Often, in the bible, the greater glory, the last outpouring of the Holy Spirit before the rapture of the church and the then to follow seven year tribulation, is referred to as rain.  We can say that the greater glory is the greater or the latter rain that is coming to the earth.  

You that have planted seed into the earth and are waiting for your harvest, get ready, the rain is coming!  Seed planted in the earth requires rain for it to come to maturity and harvest.  The latter rain will bring in the last great harvest of souls before Jesus comes.  Get ready for the rain!  Prepare your hearts to receive the rain.  Remember, God has promised the latter rain!  It was the latter rain that brought the crops to maturity and ensured an abundant harvest.  

Now notice, it says, "Ask for rain" in the times of the latter rain.  God says when we ask for rain in the time of the latter rain, He is going to cause it to come down in abundance.  

Family, friends and partners, we have seen much attack from the kingdom of darkness and many of you are waiting for your harvest, breakthrough, and prayers to be answered.  Well I want to encourage you today, that the Lord is telling me, "Where sin, death and destruction has abounded, grace will much more abound."  We are getting in on God's best for planet earth.  The time for the greater glory is NOW!  The time for the rain, that will cause the seeds that you have sown to become a great breakthrough harvest for you, is NOW!  

I dare you to believe, receive and ask for the promised rain.  I dare you to declare RAIN on your land, the rain of the Holy Spirit on your ministry, your family, your finances, your marriage, your life and friends, in the mighty name of Jesus!
