Don't Waver

Dear family, friends and partners,

"All the strength and force of man comes from his faith in things unseen.  He who believes is strong; he who doubts is weak.  Strong convictions precede great actions. The man strongly possessed of an idea is the master of all who are uncertain or wavering.  Clear, deep, living convictions rule the world."  - James Freeman Clarke

"Let us hold fast the confession of our hope without wavering, for He who promised is faithful." Hebrews 10:23

"In one of the decisive battles of World War I, disastrous reports poured into the headquarters of Marshal Foch, the commander of the Allied forces. The great general never lost heart. When things were at their worst, he drafted his famous order which is now in all textbooks of military strategy: "My center is giving way, my right is pushed back, my left is wavering. The situation is excellent. I shall attack!"

The bible tells us in the book of James, " But let him ask in faith, nothing wavering. For he that wavereth is like a wave of the sea driven with the wind and tossed" (James 1:6).

Last week I wrote to you about holding fast.  Once again, in the book of Hebrews, we are instructed to hold fast the confession of our hope without wavering.  We can see from the book of James that to waver is to be denied the promise that belongs to you, which was paid for by Jesus Christ.

The hope that we hold on to is that every promise of God is 'yes' and 'amen' to us.  This is the great salvation that was purchased for us by the blood of Christ.  This is the salvation that we entered into when we were born again.  We were born into victory.  We were born into destiny. We were born into a glorious liberty, by the blood and the Spirit, that all of the children of God can enjoy.

In these troublesome times, when the storms are raging and the wind is blowing, it is easy to be tossed to and fro. It is easy to waver and lose sight of Jesus Christ and His great victory that He purchased for us.  Just as Peter took his eyes off Jesus, saw the wind and the waves and began to sink, in the same way, we can lose sight of what we have in Christ if we give heed to the circumstances that are contrary to us.

Jesus encourages us to cast our cares upon Him, for He cares for us!  He tells us to be anxious for nothing, but to believe in God and to believe also in Him.

In Revelation 3:11 it says, "Behold, I am coming quickly! Hold fast what you have, that no one may take your crown."

The word crown here means "A crown or wreath given to a victor."  It is a crown of victory!  So then Jesus is exhorting us, not to let anyone take away our Victory!  You are more than conquerors through the Lord Jesus Christ. Jesus Christ paid the price for you to have total victory in every area of your life and circumstances.

We are fast approaching the time of Easter, the Jewish Passover.  This feast demonstrates and is a memorial of the great love that God has for us, His people.  Jesus died so that you might live, so that you and your family could go free.  Free from all the work of the evil one.  Jesus came to give us life and that life more abundantly.  The blessing of Abraham now belongs to us, through the price that Jesus paid and our faith released is His redemptive work at Calvary.

“For you know the grace of our Lord Jesus Christ, that though he was rich, yet for your sake he became poor, so that you through his poverty might become rich” (2 Corinthians 8:9).

“If you belong to Christ, then you are Abraham’s seed, and heirs according to the promise” (Galatians 3:29).

Let us dance, praise and shout the victory right now, because of Who we have and what we have in Christ.

I dare you to live today in the victory that Christ paid for you with His life and blood.  I dare you to raise your hands right now and let us declare together, "Jesus Christ is Lord!"  I dare you to believe the word, to hold fast the confession of your faith without wavering, and to go forth and conquer over every circumstance you face.  I dare you to win in life, through Jesus Christ.

Plan your life like you are a victor and that Jesus is not coming for a hundred years, but live your life like He is coming this afternoon.  Even so, come quickly Lord Jesus.
God bless and much love,

Ps. Shaun Marler
