Health Empowerment

Image
Dear Partners, family and friends, "Beloved, I wish above all things that you may prosper and be in health, even as thy soul prospers." - 3 John 2. From the above scripture, we can see that it is God's will that, as believers, we enjoy wholesome lives, spirit, soul and body. As we meditate and do a deeper dive into the meanings of the words in this scripture, we get to see, understand and feel how much  God desires for us to enjoy life, live it and experience it to the full.   First and foremost, you are, we are, called the Beloved.  The Beloved is also the title of the Messiah, Jesus Christ. Through this verse of scripture, it is revealed that God loves us as much as he loves His own Son, Jesus. The Father referred to Jesus as His 'Beloved Son' and here He speaks of the believers in the same glowing terms.  He refers to us as His beloved children.   He goes on to say that He wishes, prays, and desires that we prosper and live in health ...

Poise

Dear Partners, family and friends, " That ye be not slothful, but followers of them who through faith and patience inherit the promises."  - Hebrews 6:12 Poise is a strong word that presents a good attitude.  For someone to be at poise, it means they are in an attitude or position of calm confidence.  There is a quiet confidence in their behaviour.  A quality of grace, moving in an attractive way.  A balance in the way a person holds or moves their body.   Not only in the natural stance, but also in the spiritual stance, a person's poise will be affected by what they are believing and subsequently speaking.  Remember, out of the abundance of the heart, the mouth speaks.  Poise is faith with patience.  A powerful force that combined together, causes one to inherit the thing promised in God's Word.  You can tell by a person's body language whether they are at rest or in stress.   As God's people, we need to be in a...

The Power of Fulfilled Desires

Dear Family, Partners and Friends, "Hope deferred makes the heart sick, but when the desire comes, it is a tree of life." -  Proverbs 13:12. Hold fast to your dreams, even if they seem delayed or far away. Do not let your dreams die. Life without dreams or desires is like a broken-wing bird that cannot fly.  From the above scripture, we read that when someone's hopes are deferred or delayed, their heart can become sick.  One of the meanings of the word 'deferred' is the word 'delayed' . It means when things seem to drag on or drag out.  This can have the effect of weakening the heart or making it sick.  A person that allows this to happen, can be caught up into negative emotions and feelings.  This is not good ground to grow and produce what your heart desires.   The word 'heart' here refers to the inner man. But it also refers to the mind and the will. A person with a sick inner heart and a broken will can actually become broken...
