Making a Difference

Dear Partners, Friends & Family, 

As believer's, we're not only called to be different but we are called to make a difference. Even in the Lord's prayer when Jesus taught His disciples to pray, He told them to petition for God's Kingdom to come on earth as it is in Heaven and to pray for God's will to be done on earth as it is in Heaven.

As believer's, we are called to make a difference in this world by manifesting and doing the works of God and as said, we can only make a difference by being the difference, and this is going to take a yielding of our will to the Divine will and a sincere desire to allow our Heavenly Father to have His way and purpose in our life. 

In 1 Corinthians 3:9 it says, "For we are labourers together with God: you are God's husbandry, you are God's building." In the following verse Paul tells us that we need to take heed what we build on the foundation of the Word, and the Gospel in our life. 

We must learn to yield to the Spirit of God and allow Him through our study and meditation to build strong revelations of Jesus Christ, the power of the cross and everything that we have received according to the Word, that is designed to empower you to win in life through Jesus Christ. 

Remember, as it tells us in 1 Corinthians 3:16 that now you are born again you are the temple of God and God's Spirit dwells in you. You are born again to win, you are born to succeed, you are born to overcome through the grace and divine empowerment by the Spirit of our Lord Jesus Christ.

I dare you as we enter the second half of this year to reach for God's best. I dare you to believe that you can do all things through Christ who strengthens you and as a co-labourer together with God, I dare you to believe that God by His Spirit in you, will cause you to be and make the difference. You are more than a conqueror through the Lord Jesus Christ and all things are possible to you who believes.

As promised, here are some photo's of our Fire Church Team from North Brisbane that went out distributing warm clothes and blankets to homeless people in the Redcliffe area and volunteering at the King's Kitchen this last week. I have also included some photo's from our latest missions work to orphans, widows and the poor in India and some from our local Harvest Food Assist and Brisbane university outreach. It's our partners like you and your faithful support of our work and outreaches that is enabling us to go out in the power of the Spirit and love and make the difference in lives, both here, in our local community and abroad.

Honour your man of God

“Render to all men their dues. [Pay] taxes to whom taxes are due, revenue to whom revenue is due, respect to whom respect is due, and honor to whom honor is due.” Romans 13:7 (AMP) The word honour means: to respect, to revere, to treat with deference and submission and perform relevant duties to. Honouring your man of God is vital in the life of every born-again believer. Even as a Senior Pastor, it is a privilege for me to honour the men of God that I consider my spiritual fathers and mentors. THE LAW OF REPETITION

What you hear repeatedly, you will eventually believe. Repetition, our school teachers know this basic law of learning. That’s why when we were at school, we learned many things in our early years by repetition. Someone once said, “You must hear something at least 16 times, before you eventually believe it”. Television commercials are repeated over and over. These are backed up by newspaper, magazine, internet and billboard advertisements. The marketers know we must continually hear and see something before we respond to it.  Romans 10:17 says “ So then faith cometh by hearing, and hearing by the word of God ”.  It simply takes time to absorb a message.
