It's Time to Call on the Lord again!

Dear Partners, Friends & Family, 

 Then you will call upon Me and go and pray to Me, and I will listen to you.  And you will seek Me and find Me, when you search for Me with all your heart.
Jeremiah 29:12-13

Here in the book of Jeremiah, we have an excellent promise from our Father. God says, that when we call unto Him and when we pray to Him, He will listen to us.

Imagine that! The God that created everything, the entire universe and all that is within it including the seen and the unseen realms, has invited you to call upon Him and given you the absolute assurance that you have His ear. God listens to the prayers of those that pray. 

We see in Genesis, where people began to call upon the Lord again, this is the first place where we see prayer in the bible.
"Then men began to call on the name of the Lord."  Genesis 4:26b.  Prayer began with people that had seeking, searching hearts, calling upon the Lord. I encourage you to pray and call upon the Lord today. This is where life is found, it's where grace and favour is found. As the scripture says, in Isaiah 55:6-7, Call upon Him while He is near, seek Him and return to Him.

Seek the Lord while He may be found,
Call upon Him while He is near.
Let the wicked forsake his way,
And the unrighteous man his thoughts;
Let him return to the Lord,
And He will have mercy on him;
And to our God,
For He will abundantly pardon.
Isaiah 55:6-7

Back to our previous scripture, it goes on to say in Jeremiah 29:13, "And you will seek Me and find Me, when you search for Me with all your heart." God wants to do life and business with you. He wants to prosper you spiritually & physically. We read in Isaiah 55:3,

"Incline your ear, and come to Me.
Hear, and your soul shall live;
And I will make an everlasting covenant with you—
The sure mercies of David."

And again, in Jeremiah 29:11 we read, "For I know the thoughts that I think toward you, says the Lord, thoughts of peace and not of evil, to give you a future and a hope."

It's time for us to call upon the name of the Lord and pray unto Him again. It's time for His people to make a fresh commitment to His ways, His will and His purpose. He will lead you in the way that you should go, and He will teach you to profit and prosper through life. (Psalm 32:8, Isaiah 48:17)

Your best is still to come and as you do business with God, your best is now to come. Prayer based on the Word directed to God through the name of the Lord Jesus Christ, is the serious business of Heaven. As you talk to God, He not only listens but He will talk to you, and He will direct you in the way that you should go. As you walk with God, He will walk with you, He has a plan for your life and it's ALL good!

Last Friday night, after I shared the gospel, the team and I led 12 people to the Lord and saw 3 re-dedications at the King's Kitchen Outreach on Russel Island. Then last night at Hope church's Outreach on the streets of Caboolture, again after sharing the gospel, we saw 6 new souls give their hearts to Jesus and 2 re-affirming their pledge to follow Jesus. Many of these people who are getting saved are going on for God, beginning to attend local churches, where they are being encouraged through the Word of God and undertaking courses, such as Alpha and other basic Biblical Christian studies. 

Fire Church Brisbane working with World Harvest Ministries is currently organising a letterbox drop and another local community outreach this coming Saturday evening. Please pray that as we share the love of God and the gospel of our Lord Jesus Christ many hearts will be touched and saved.
