Faith
Dear Partners, Family & Friends,
“Faith is an act.”- Kenneth E. Hagin
Kenneth E. Hagin would always say “Faith is an act.” I like to say, “The Word works, when you work the Word.”
If we want to realise the mighty power of faith contained in the Word of
God and experience its benefits, then we must be doers of the Word and
not hearers only (James 1:22). For it is in doing of God’s Word that we
are blessed. As we put the promises to work through the power
confession, we will reap the benefits in our lives, family and business.
I dare you to confess!
1. You were created by God to reign and rule in this life by Jesus Christ.
2. You were born again to win and be successful in life.
3. Romans 8:37, “I am more than a conqueror through Him that loves me.”
These are powerful faith confessions and scripture. They are precious
promises in God’s Word, designed by God to build faith in you and give
you victory. Speak them every morning for the next two weeks and as you
say them personalise them.
Faith is the most crucial subject in the bible, because faith gives us access to all the promises of God, including salvation.
Paul writes in Romans 1:16-17 that he is “not
ashamed of the Gospel of Christ, for it is the power of God to salvation
to everyone who believes, to the Jew first and also to the Greek. For
therein is the righteousness of God revealed from faith to faith, as it
is written, the just shall live by faith.” We are not only saved
by faith and trust in God’s Word, but from these scriptures, we can
clearly see, that God expects us as believers to live by faith.
What is Faith?
Very simply, we could say that faith is having trust and confidence in
God, or trust and confidence in the Word of God. Hebrews 11:1 tells us,
“Now faith is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things
not seen.” Faith is always in the present tense. It believes now, it
receives now and acts now. It simply believes that God is able. God
can do what He promised He would do. Faith believes and expects He will
do it for us. Faith receives now!
Faith is Always Now!
One of the great differences between faith and hope is the tense. Hope
is usually concerned with the future, where faith is most often
concerned with the present. Sometimes we hear people say they are
stepping out in faith in a new venture, but usually, they really do not
know what is going to happen or what the future holds. They feel the
urge to try something new and to take a stab at it, but that is not the
faith we are talking about in Hebrews 11:1. Bible
faith does not operate this way. True faith in God’s Word has power,
and when we step out in this kind of faith, we are standing on solid
rock - the solid rock of God’s unchanging, eternal Word, the same
substance that God used when He created the heavens and the earth.
Hebrews 11:3 says, “Through faith we understand
that the worlds were framed by the Word of God, so that things which are
seen were not made of things which do appear.”
Faith is Available to Everyone
I encourage you today to study God’s Word to find precious promises and blessings He has for you, and then reach out and receive them into your life by faith. Claim them by faith as your very own and praise and thank God for them. (Mark 11:22, 23 and 24).
Remember, “The Word works, when you work the Word.”
God bless and much love,
Ps. Shaun Marler
