Faith Part 3
Dear Partner, Family & Friends,
God has spread a table before us filled with bountiful blessings. Naturally speaking, if someone sets a beautiful table of food before us, we know what to do with it. We do not sit wishing and hoping that we could have some of that food. We do not complain to our host that we do not have enough. Neither do we get mad and upset if someone else at the table gets a big helping of mashed potatoes. We begin to help ourselves to the food. It has been set before us to eat and be filled. There is probably more in the kitchen if we empty the serving bowls. We know that everyone at the table has equal rights and privileges to get their portion of each dish.
Know God’s Word is the same. God has made ample provision for every need in our lives. He promises a full, abundant supply. It is all ours for the asking. God just wants us to believe His Word and take what has been set before us. It does not offend God for us to take all we need. Any host/hostess is disappointed if they discover one of their guests did not get enough. They want each one to be satisfied. God is certainly the Almighty Creator, Who has chosen to set a table for us. What we receive from Him will come as a result of our actively reaching out and claiming His promises, from the table of provision found in His Word.
God’s plan is victory for every human being. You were created to have dominion on the earth. Jesus Christ regained the authority that Adam, the first man, had lost. You were born again to be a winner, to be triumphant.
“Death and life are in the power of the tongue, and they that love it will eat the fruit thereof”. (Proverbs 18:21).
From the above scripture, we can see how powerful the words of our mouth are. With them, we have the choice to speak death or life into any situation that we face.
So then, as stated in my previous blogs on faith, "Faith comes by hearing and hearing by the Word of God" (Romans 10:17). One of the ways that we can act on the Word of God is by speaking its promises over our lives. We can rise in the morning and make good confessions, over our day, over our family, over our finances and life in general.
God has plans for your life beyond your wildest dreams. I dare you to make a quality decision today to choose life, because God has absolute victory for you. Don't make wrong confessions, agree with God, and agree with His Word. I dare you to speak life, speak God's Word, confess daily God's Word over your life, your family and anything else that concerns you. You are what God says you are. You can do what God says you can do.
As promised, here are some powerful confessions I have taken from Don Gossett's 'Never Again List". Use these daily by speaking them over your life and circumstances.
NEVER AGAIN CONFESS DEFEAT FOR:
“God ... always causeth us to triumph in Christ...” (2 Corinthians 2:14).
NEVER AGAIN CONFESS SICKNESS FOR:
“With his stripes, we are healed” (Isaiah 53:5).
“He Himself took our infirmities, and bore our sicknesses” (Matthew 8:17).
NEVER AGAIN CONFESS FEAR FOR:
“God hath not given us the spirit of fear; but of power, and of love, and of a sound mind” (2 Timothy 1:7).
NEVER AGAIN CONFESS, I CAN’T FOR:
“I can do all things through Christ which strengtheneth me” (Philippians 4:13).
NEVER AGAIN CONFESS SATAN’S SUPREMACY OVER YOUR LIFE FOR:
“Greater is He that is in you, than he that is in the world” (1 John 4:4).
NEVER AGAIN CONFESS FEELINGS OF GUILT FOR:
“There is therefore now no condemnation to them which are in Christ Jesus” (Romans 8:1).
“As far as the east is from the west, so far hath he removed our transgressions from us” (Psalm 103:12).
NEVER AGAIN CONFESS FAILURE FOR:
“Nay, in all these things we are more than conquerors through Him that loved us” (Romans 8:37).
If we want to realise the mighty power of faith contained in the Word of God and experience its benefits, then we must be doers of the Word and not hearers only. (James 1:22). For it is in doing of God’s Word that we are blessed. As you put the promises to work through the power of confession, you will reap the benefits.
For more confessions, please go to the 'Notes' section in our App. We will also be adding more powerful lists of promises there, that you can use to walk in the victory that Jesus Christ purchased for you at Calvary.
"A quality decision, is a decision that there is no turning back from."- Kenneth Copeland
Faith Acts on God’s Word
From the above quote by Kenneth Copeland, we are encouraged to make quality decisions. These are decisions that once made, we stick to them, and they become part of our life. We don't waver or turn back from making these decisions, because they are so vital that when we apply them to our life, they ultimately change our life and circumstances for the better. Decisions made to live our life by the principles in God's word, should be quality decisions that we do not change or turn from. Faith is like that. The bible warns that when we believe God's word and act upon it, we should hold it fast and not waver or turn back. By wavering, we are denied the performance of the word or promise. Instead, by holding fast to the word or the promises contained therein, we ultimately receive the manifestation or the performance of the promises. "For faithful is He that has promised and will fulfill it" (Hebrews 10:23).God has spread a table before us filled with bountiful blessings. Naturally speaking, if someone sets a beautiful table of food before us, we know what to do with it. We do not sit wishing and hoping that we could have some of that food.
