Faith it Until You Make it!
Faith It Till You Make It
Dear Partners, Family & Friends,
Faith it till you make it. - Shaun Marler
Yesterday, as I was meditating on faith and seeking the Lord as to what to write about this week, the above thought, "Faith it till you make it" dropped into my mind and spirit.
I felt God say to me, "Shaun, write a message on 'Faith it Until You Make it". As these words were heard in my spirit, I immediately thought of the saying, "Fake it till you make it".
I believe the Lord spoke to me and said Shaun, "change the word fake for the word faith!"
Faith is the most crucial subject in the Bible, because faith gives us access to all the promises of God, including salvation. The Bible tells us in the book of Habakkuk 2:4b, 'the just shall live by faith'.
'The just shall live by faith', were part of the words of a consolatory answer to prayer from God which the prophet Habakkuk received, in a time of great stress when the people of God were under a Chaldean invasion. At the time, these irresistible hosts of armies swept over the land. However, God promised the righteous man, who would put his trust in Him, would live. Now as Christians, we must have this intense personal trust and reliance which the Jews felt in God. God had demonstrated time and time again that those that put their trust in Him would be delivered, saved and made whole.
As Christians, we must develop this trust into an active energy (faith) of devotion in Jesus Christ and His Word.
Romans 1:16-17 declares; "For I am not ashamed of the gospel of Christ, for it is the power of God to salvation for everyone who believes, for the Jew first and also for the Greek. For in it, the righteousness of God is revealed from faith to faith; as it is written, “The just shall live by faith.”
Let's unpack these two verses a little bit. The word 'salvation' here in the Greek, points to more than just the born-again experience. In fact, it points to full salvation, total deliverance from the kingdom of darkness to the complete safety and prosperity of the Kingdom of God. A study of this word reveals that it means to save or rescue. In other words, God's rescue delivers believers out of destruction and into His safety. It comes from the Greek word 'Sozo' which means to heal, to prosper, make well, to be whole. This word 'salvation' is welfare, prosperity, deliverance, preservation, salvation and safety.
All of these things are promised to the Believer that lives by faith. As you have read in verse 17 of the above scripture, it says, 'from faith to faith'. It also says, 'the just shall live by faith', this means the born-again believer is to live by faith. The Bible says, that Jesus Christ was made sin for us that we might be made the righteousness of God in Him. In the book of Romans we are exhorted to have the same kind of faith that Abraham had. It teaches us in chapter 4, that just like righteousness was imputed to Abraham by faith, in the same way righteousness, God's righteousness, is imputed to us by faith, who believe in Jesus Christ and His redemptive work through the cross. In Romans 8
it tells us that those God called He justified and those He justified He also glorified.
In Hebrews 11:3 - By faith we understand that the worlds were framed by the word of God, so that the things which are seen were not made of things which are visible.
Wow, did you see that, faith makes things!
The worlds were made by God out of this unseen substance called faith. We've already read in the scriptures above that the just shall live by faith. We have also learned that we become just by putting our trust in God and believing in what Jesus Christ did for us on the cross. However, your salvation doesn't end with the born-again experience. Salvation starts with the born-again experience. God wants us to go from faith to faith, receiving all that He has promised to us who believe. As stated, that is prosperity, wholeness, completeness, and rescued by God to His safety.
God wants to glorify the believer with full salvation, privileges and promises. Once again, in the book of Romans, Abraham who was justified by faith in God's sight was made righteous, went on to imitate the faith of God, calling things that be not as though they are. God calls things into existence that do not yet exist, using words joined with the unseen substance of faith. God taught Abraham to do the same thing. So, Abraham called things into existence or manifested things by believing and speaking God's word, or we could say 'the promise' that God had given in words.
We understand from Hebrews 11 above, that things or words that God spoke came into existence, manifested and were made out of faith! Now that you are a believer, I dare you to faith it, by speaking Gods word in faith, believing that the things which you say with your mouth will come to pass and make those things out of faith. "Faith it until you Make it!"
I dare you, now you are born-again and justified by faith and have become the righteousness of God in Christ, to move from this place and progress into the full promises of God by speaking the thing into existence.
I dare you, not to speak the problem, but to speak the answer, until by faith you make the thing promised fully manifest in your life. I pray that this teaching and play on words, 'Faith it Until You Make it', is a blessing and an encouragement to your life.
Have a powerful week as you 'faith it till you make it'.
God bless,
Ps. Shaun Marler
