Eternal Hope in a Troubled World

Image
Dear Partners, Friends and Family, In Corinthians 13, it tells us that three things remain forever! They are Hope, Faith and Love. Christmas time speaks of these three things more than any other time of the year. Christmas is a time when the majority of people start to wind down their year by focusing on spending time with their families. As we believers know, Christmas represents a season of giving, joy and celebration.   But to us who believe, it is so much more than this. Christmas commemorates the birth of God's Son, Jesus, the Saviour of the entire world. God gave us the gift of His Son so that through Him, we might receive God's gift of eternal life. Not just eternal life in the future, to come, but eternal life birthed in our spirit by the Spirit of God now.   Jesus is the reason for this season! He is the Hope of the whole earth, and through Him, you can have life everlasting. A guarantee that your best is still to come, and by faith in Him, that is Jesus, you ...

Health Empowerment

Image
Dear Partners, family and friends, "Beloved, I wish above all things that you may prosper and be in health, even as thy soul prospers." - 3 John 2. From the above scripture, we can see that it is God's will that, as believers, we enjoy wholesome lives, spirit, soul and body. As we meditate and do a deeper dive into the meanings of the words in this scripture, we get to see, understand and feel how much  God desires for us to enjoy life, live it and experience it to the full.   First and foremost, you are, we are, called the Beloved.  The Beloved is also the title of the Messiah, Jesus Christ. Through this verse of scripture, it is revealed that God loves us as much as he loves His own Son, Jesus. The Father referred to Jesus as His 'Beloved Son' and here He speaks of the believers in the same glowing terms.  He refers to us as His beloved children.   He goes on to say that He wishes, prays, and desires that we prosper and live in health ...

Poise

Image
Dear Partners, family and friends, " That ye be not slothful, but followers of them who through faith and patience inherit the promises."  - Hebrews 6:12 Poise is a strong word that presents a good attitude.  For someone to be at poise, it means they are in an attitude or position of calm confidence.  There is a quiet confidence in their behaviour.  A quality of grace, moving in an attractive way.  A balance in the way a person holds or moves their body.   Not only in the natural stance, but also in the spiritual stance, a person's poise will be affected by what they are believing and subsequently speaking.  Remember, out of the abundance of the heart, the mouth speaks.  Poise is faith with patience.  A powerful force that combined together, causes one to inherit the thing promised in God's Word.  You can tell by a person's body language whether they are at rest or in stress.   As God's people, we need to be in a...

The Power of Fulfilled Desires

Image
Dear Family, Partners and Friends, "Hope deferred makes the heart sick, but when the desire comes, it is a tree of life." -  Proverbs 13:12. Hold fast to your dreams, even if they seem delayed or far away. Do not let your dreams die. Life without dreams or desires is like a broken-wing bird that cannot fly.  From the above scripture, we read that when someone's hopes are deferred or delayed, their heart can become sick.  One of the meanings of the word 'deferred' is the word 'delayed' . It means when things seem to drag on or drag out.  This can have the effect of weakening the heart or making it sick.  A person that allows this to happen, can be caught up into negative emotions and feelings.  This is not good ground to grow and produce what your heart desires.   The word 'heart' here refers to the inner man. But it also refers to the mind and the will. A person with a sick inner heart and a broken will can actually become broken...

Become As Little Children

Image
Dear Family, Friends and Partners, "At the same time came the disciples unto Jesus, saying, "Who is the greatest in the kingdom of heaven?"  And Jesus called a little child unto him, and set him in the midst of them,  And said, "Verily I say unto you, except ye be converted, and become as little children, ye shall not enter into the kingdom of heaven.  Whosoever therefore shall humble himself as this little child, the same is greatest in the kingdom of heaven" (Matthew 18:1-4). I have been sharing with you on the force and the power of forgiveness.  The 18th Chapter of Matthew's Gospel amongst other things, is a powerful teaching on the divine force of forgiveness.  Once again, we see the law of sowing and reaping at work.  As we read to the end of the chapter, we can see from the teachings of Jesus, that those that do not sow forgiveness will neither reap forgiveness, but will be turned over to the tormentors.   Through my last three blogs, I h...

Forgiveness Part 3

Image
Dear Partner, Friends and Family, "Forgiveness doesn't make the other person right, it makes you free!"  - Stormie Omartian. Unforgiveness holds us in bondage. We often want forgiveness but then choose to hold on to the offences of others. Let's read the following scripture, this was a parable that Jesus shared with His disciples, showing God's attitude towards people that refuse to forgive others, after they have received major forgiveness themselves.    "Then the king called in the man he had forgiven and said, ‘You evil servant! I forgave you that tremendous debt because you pleaded with me. Shouldn’t you have mercy on your fellow servant, just as I had mercy on you?’ Then the angry king sent the man to prison to be tortured until he had paid his entire debt. “That’s what my heavenly Father will do to you if you refuse to forgive your brothers and sisters from your heart.”   (Matthew 18:32-35 NLT), From the above verses, we can see that people who refuse ...

Forgiveness Part 2

Image
Dear Family, Friends and Partners, "Forgiveness releases healing"  - Dr. Shaun Marler. Why is forgiveness so powerful?  Forgiveness means different things to different people. When we forgive, we let go! When we let go of something it lessens the burden of what we have been carrying. Through letting go, we release ourselves from the weight of the unforgiveness and its subsequent detrimental effects it can have on our life, relationships and physical as well as mental health. The famous MAYO Clinic, in their medical research and studies, lists eight benefits of forgiveness and not harbouring unforgiveness within our hearts. These are the following eight benefits they list:- Healthier relationships. Improved mental health. Less anxiety, stress and hostility. Lower blood pressure. Fewer symptoms of depression. A stronger immune system. Improved heart health. Improved self-esteem. The article went on to say, that through unforgiveness you could get swallowed up by your own bi...

Forgiveness

Image
Dear Partner, Family and Friends, "Unforgiveness is a violation of grace."   - Dr. Shaun Marler. "For by grace you have been saved through faith, and that not of yourselves; it is the gift of God, not of works, lest anyone should boast"  ( Ephesians 2:8-9). Forgiveness should be at the heart of every Christian walk. Forgiveness is "easily said, harder to do!" People have a tendency to harbour "justified" unforgiveness. They want true signs of repentance before they forgive others. But remember, God gives pardon. Jesus paid the price for our full forgiveness and pardon before God, so that we can grant pardon freely to others. Jesus commanded us to forgive. He did not say, "try to forgive" or "work on forgiving". He just plainly said, "forgive".  “And whenever you stand praying, if you have anything against anyone, forgive him, that your Father in heaven may also forgive you your trespasses"   (Mark 11:25). I lik...

Changing Times Part 3

Image
Dear Partners, Family and Friends, "And this gospel of the kingdom shall be preached in all the world for a witness unto all nations; and then shall the end come" -  Matthew 24:14. As you can see, Jesus said, "this Gospel of the Kingdom would be preached in the whole earth, and then the end would come." I believe we are living in the time of the end. The word 'end' here has an interesting meaning. In the Greek, it is the word 'telos' and it means 'an end or event or issue',  such as 'closure with all its results' .  So we are basically in the time of reaching the end of the Church Age, when the Gospel is preached into all the world. This word 'world' means 'the inhabited world' or 'the inhabited earth' .  The nations means ' all of the Gentile world; a race of people or nation; people of similar customs'. As I watched the live service of the Queen's funeral during the week, I was very blessed and ...

Changing Times Part 2

Image
Dear Partners, Friends and Family, "A faithful man shall abound with blessings." -  Proverbs 28:20 KJV This week Kerrie and I have been watching the funeral proceedings for Her Majesty, Queen Elizabeth II. During the course of the week, many people have been interviewed in the crowds that are gathering for the funeral of this great lady. When asked, "Why are you here?" the common answer has been, "To pay respect to Her Majesty for her years of faithful and unwavering duty to her people, the Commonwealth and her vow she made before God. She was a world leader of outstanding values, consistency, strength and faithfulness through seventy years of rapidly changing times. As I have listened to the commentary from people who knew her closely, worked with her and observed her, they said, "She had a great faith in God and very strong religious belief and conviction for Christian values." One of her close confidants even said, "She had no fear of death. ...

Changing Times

Image
Dear  Partners, Family and Friends, As I am sure you are all aware by now, Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II has passed on.  She was an amazing Monarch that reigned for 70 years, 7 months and 2 days and is in fact the longest-serving British Monarch in all of history.  I am sure she is now dancing on the streets of glory with King Jesus, whom she often spoke of as the Lord and Saviour of all mankind.  I remember and loved her speeches that she gave at Christmas each year, where she would often speak of Jesus.   Let’s all hold up the entire Royal Family as they mourn the loss of this great, outstanding and faithful woman.  Let us pray for all those that knew her well in her service, the British people and the entire Commonwealth.  We will miss her reassuring and comforting words.  Queen Elizabeth was such a voice of stability in these uncertain times.   Let’s pray for Prince Charles, who now is His Royal Highness, King Charles III.  For a g...

The Fast Way to Power

Image
Dear Partner, Family and Friends, If you want something you have never had, you have to do something you have never done!  -  Dr. Shaun Marler Recently I was reading an email from Pastor Col Stringer about the Smith Wigglesworth prophecy over Australia and the South Pacific Islands.  Pastor Col said that a lot of people have been asking him about this prophecy of late.  I was very encouraged to read Pastor Col's email and I already have a copy of his Smith Wigglesworth book.   I have just finished writing a book titled 'The Fast Way to Power'.  Many years ago, after spending time with Drummond Thom and Don Gossett, two great Generals of the Faith, now in glory, I prepared a manual for our Bible College on the subject of fasting.  This book is based on those notes, that I have taught for many years and personal experience at fasting.   Don Gossett and Drummond Thom, personally knew many of last century's great healing evangelist...

It's Time

Image
Dear Friends, Family and Partners, "To every thing there is a season, and a time to every purpose under the heaven" -   Ecclesiastes 3:1 We are entering into exciting times!  We need to seek the Lord for His strategies in this new season.  This is the time of the 'Greater Glory'!  This is the time for the last great harvest of souls before Jesus returns. There is a 'Clarion Call' going out in the spirit realm right now, "it's midnight!"  This 'Clarion Call' is an urgent call to prayer and a fresh dedication of our lives to Jesus, to turn again to the Lord, to humble ourselves under His mighty hand, repenting of our sins and believing for a fresh touch and infilling of His Spirit.  To allow, and let God be God in our lives and circumstances.   It is a time of realigning ourselves to the voice of the Spirit, the Kingdom and the will of God for our lives.  God desires the last great harvest of souls to come in, more than we ...

Manifested Love

Image
Dear Family, Partners and Friends, It wasn't the nails that held Jesus to the cross. It was his love for you. - Dr. Shaun Marler Passover is a Time of Joy Passover (Easter) is a time to celebrate Jesus and all He has done for us and is still doing for us by His word and Spirit.  He ever lives to make intercession for us.   “Wherefore he is able also to save them to the uttermost that come unto God by him, seeing he ever liveth to make intercession for them. For such a High Priest was fitting for us, who is holy, harmless, undefiled, separate from sinners, and has become higher than the heavens; (Hebrew 7:25-26). It was customary of the Israelites to joyously sing Psalm 118 at every Passover. So this was the song that Jesus sang just before He was led to the cross to die for us.  This Psalm contains the words, “This is the day that the Lord has made. I will rejoice and be glad in it.”  Even though He was on His way to the cross to die for the sins of the ...
