Peace in a Troubled World

Image
Dear Partners, Family & Friends, "Jesus Christ the same yesterday, and today, and for ever."    Hebrews 13:8. The Bible definition of peace is – more than just the absence of conflict. It is taking ACTION to restore a broken situation. It is more than a state of inner peace and tranquility; it's a state of wholeness and completeness. (Nothing missing, nothing broken). Think of the High Priestly Prayer.  "Speak to Aaron and his sons, saying, 'This is the way you shall bless the children of Israel. Say to them: "The Lord bless you and keep you; The Lord make His face shine upon you, and be gracious to you; The Lord lift up His countenance upon you, and give you peace." "So they shall put My name on the children of Israel, and I will bless them."  Numbers 6:23-27 Think of the Blessing of Abraham! "And if you are Christ's, then you are Abraham's seed, and heirs according to the promise."   Galatians 3:29 Biblical peace is ...

The Lordship of Love Part 3

Image
Dear Partner, Family and Friends,  "My formula for success; Rise early, work late, strike oil." - Jean Paul Getty.   "You prepare a table before me, in the presence of my enemies. You anoint my head with oil; my cup overflows." -  Psalm 23: 5 I love the above quote from Jean Paul Getty. I like the picture of the oil pumps. As I sit here and prepare to write this blog on the Lordship of Love Part 3, I am meditating on verse five of the 23 Psalm. Just like God has floated the nations on oil in the natural, which has been crucial to our lives, providing heat, light, and energy for many years; in the same way, God has provided an abundance of oil in the supernatural realm for his people to use and utilize.   Scriptures are flowing through my mind right now, even as oil flows.  I know God wants me to speak a healing word today!  The world right now needs the flow of the healing oil of God.  Australia needs fresh oil from heaven....

The Lordship of Love Part 2

Image
Dear Partner, family and friends, "He leads me beside the still waters." -  Psalm 23:2  Psalm 23: 1-2 says, " The Lord is my shepherd; I shall not want. He makes me to lie down in green pastures; He leads me beside the still waters." Our God is a God of peace and prosperity.  He wants to lead us beside the still waters.  I dare you to believe for gentle waters.  Waters of stillness and calm.  Regardless of the storms or the raging waves around about, you can have peace and calmness, gentle and clear, rippling waters.  I dare you to cast every anxiety and care upon your Lord!  We are FREE children!  Jesus purchased FREEDOM for us on the Cross of Calvary, with His life and His blood.  I dare you to trust in the Lord and not put your trust in man or the arm of the flesh.  Proverbs 29:25, "The fear of man brings a snare, but whoever trusts in the Lord shall be safe."   Jesus is Lord and the true LIFE-GIVER!   Remember,...

The Lordship of Love

Image
Dear Partner, Family & Friends, "The Lord is my shepherd; I shall not want." -  Psalm 23:1  The word 'Lord' here is 'Jehovah'. Psalm 23 is a love song. It is faith's love song. It shows the heart of the Father for His absolute care of His children. God wants to completely protect, provide and care for His children in every way. He is your lover, your caretaker, your protector and provider.  The Lord is your shepherd, you shall not want or lack any good thing! Psalm 84:11  says, "For the Lord God is a sun and shield: the Lord will give grace and glory: no good thing will he withhold from them that walk uprightly." I shall not want for food. I shall not want for clothes. I shall not want for a home. I shall not want for health, for He is the strength of my life. Psalm 23:2 ,  "He makes me to lie down in green pastures;" That is quietness, security and rest. Even if there are enemies, you can lie down because He is your Victory! It is ...

Beating the Blues

Image
Dear Partner, family & friends, "Do not give your past the power to define your future." - Anonymous  There are varying degrees of depression, from a mild case of the blues to full-on clinical depression. To cope with something, you must first recognize its source. Satan is the author of depression. It is one of his favourite tools for ravaging the minds of men and women of today. Look at the current suicide rates. Evil spirits like depression attack you in order to crush and break your spirit, harassing your mind with fear, doubt and uncertainty. They are the cause of frustration, can destroy your health, your peace of mind and even your home! If you do not take dominion over them.  James 4:7  says,  "Therefore submit to God. Resist the devil and he will flee from you." Refuse to be Satan's dumping ground! Boldly quote the Word of God! The Word is the Christian's most effective weapon against the enemy! 2 Corinthians 10:4 ,  "For the weapons of o...

Father's Day

Image
Dear Partner, family & friends, "Anyone can be a father, but it takes someone special to be a dad, and that's why I call you dad, because you are so special to me"    - Wade Boggs This Sunday is Father's Day!  I felt to share on the importance of honouring our Dads. As you can see from the quote, anyone can be a Father, but not every Father is a Dad. Our heavenly Father is not only a Father to us, but He is also a Dad. God loves us, sending His only Son to die for us, to give us everlasting life, joy, peace and happiness. God not only wants to be a Father to you in the eternal Kingdoms to come, but He wants to be a Dad to you now.   God wants to protect us; care for us with long life, satisfy us and reveal to us His great salvation. Romans 8:15  says,  "The Spirit you received does not make you slaves, so that you live in fear again; rather, the Spirit you received brought about your adoption to sonship. And by him we cry, ‘Abba, Father.’" We ...

The Discipline of Prayer Changes Things!

Image
Dear Partner, family and friends, "Discipline; the special ingredient needed to move from the reality of today to your dreams of tomorrow."    Dr. Shaun Marler Wow! What interesting days we are living in. I want to write to you today to encourage you not to quit. I want to encourage you today, to keep believing,  decreeing and declaring your total victory through Jesus Christ, over Satan, sin, sickness and the grave!   The Word says,  "Whom the Son sets free is free indeed!"  ( John 8:36 ). Remember Jesus came to set the captives free, and He gave that liberating anointing of the Holy Spirit to us. You are anointed to set the captives free! You are anointed to declare the victory!  You are anointed to speak FREEDOM over your community, state and nation!  Let's speak FREEDOM over our cities today!  It is time to see His Kingdom come, and HIS will be done on earth as it is in heaven!  Let that sink in. God wants it done on earth as it...

Prayer Stops Plagues

Image
Dear Partners, family and friends, "If my people, who are called by my name, will humble themselves and pray and seek my face and turn from their wicked ways, then I will hear from heaven, and I will forgive their sin and will heal their land."   2 Chronicles 7:14 The bible says in  Hebrews 8:6  that we have a  "better covenant " than the Israelites had.  Many times when the Israelites were facing destruction, plagues or unbeatable odds, they would cry unto the Lord and He would save them and deliver them from their distresses.   If God can protect them, He can surely protect us as well.  God repeatedly saved His people out of disaster.  He can save you too.  1 Chronicles 21:14-16  says,  "So the Lord sent a plague on Israel, and seventy thousand men of Israel fell dead. 15 And God sent an angel to destroy Jerusalem. But as the angel was doing so, the Lord saw it and relented concerning the disaster and said to the ...

Prioritize The Presence Part 2

Image
Dear family, friends & partners, "If you want something you never had, you have to do something you have never done." -  Dr. Shaun Marler. As I was meditating on this thought/quote that the Lord gave me in the late '80s or early '90s, it came to me that I promised to do Part 2 of  'Prioritize the Presence'  this week. I went back, and I read a blog that I had posted on September the 29th, 2008, on the above quote. In that blog, I asked the questions, how much do you want to have success in your life? Enough to change what you are saying? Enough to change what you are doing? Or enough to change what you are focusing your attention on?   You have to act on God’s Word even when everything is telling you it won’t work.  If you want it that much, the  Word of God guarantees you will find success in life.  The Word tells us that God’s success is good success. There are two kinds of success, good success that brings happiness with it, and the ki...

Prioritize The Presence

Image
Dear family, partners and friends, "Life won’t always be rosy when you’re a Christian, but with Jesus, it will always be amazing."  -  Cherise Marler Last Sunday evening, when I shared a short message at Ps. Daniel Hagen's Fire Church, Sunshine Coast, I opened with the statement,  "We must prioritize the presence of God."   During the worship that evening, while people were sharing prophetically what was on their heart, I heard the word  'priority'  and  'presence'  a number of times.  God that afternoon, had been speaking to me about  prioritizing His presence. Recently, I was asked,  "How can we be Rapture Ready?"   Now, first of all, I like to say, we need to plan our lives like Jesus isn't coming for a hundred years, but we need to live our lives like He is coming today!  Now, what must we do to be Rapture Ready?  Well, I will take you to the words of Jesus. ...

Your Life Talk!

Image
Dear Partners, Family and Friends, "For out of the abundance of the heart the mouth speaks." - Matthew 12:34b In the above scripture, we can see how Jesus informs us, that out of the abundant thoughts of our heart, the mouth speaks.  This morning, as I checked my Instagram, in my feed, there was a post from Joshua Mills.  It was about the three portals that our words should pass through.  In his post, he referred to Psalm 141:3 , "Set a guard, O Lord, over my mouth; Keep watch over the door of my lips."   Joshua asks three questions of the words that pass through our lips.  1. Are they true?  2. Are they necessary?  3. Are they kind?  He then quotes Ephesians 4:29 (AMP), "Do not let unwholesome [foul, profane, worthless, vulgar] words ever come out of your mouth, but only such speech as is good for building up others, according to the need and the occasion, so that it will be a blessing to those who hear [you speak]." I believe these are ...

A Fulfilled Life Part 2!

Image
Dear Partner, family and friends, A fulfilled life is when you find God, and in that finding, you awaken to how blessed and favoured you are. - Dr. Shaun Marler Last week I shared on the fulfilled life and what it means to live a fulfilled life.  Once again, let's have a look at some qualities of a fulfilled life: 1. A fulfilled life celebrates God!  2. A fulfilled life adds value to people. 3. A fulfilled life casts its cares upon God. 4. A fulfilled life experiences God's wholeness.  We took these qualities and abilities from Philippians 4:4-7.   "Rejoice in the Lord always. I will say it again: Rejoice! Let your gentleness be evident to all. The Lord is near. Do not be anxious about anything, but in every situation, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God. And the peace of God, which transcends all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus." If you want to li...

A Fulfilled Life Part 1!

Image
Dear Partner, Family and Friends, Happiness is not a goal. It’s a by-product of a fulfilled life.  - Dr. Shaun Marler Everybody desires to live a fulfilled life .  As I have shared previously in other blogs, success is not a destination, it is a journey.  As we journey through life, it is God's will that we enjoy our life. In the beginning, when God created us, He created everything good, and it was His desire that we live long, purposeful and fulfilled lives.  God has never changed His mind about that and that is the very reason why He sent Jesus.  Jesus came and paid the price to purchase us or redeem us, so that we could be restored back to God's original plan and intentions for our lives.   Jeremiah 29:11-12 says, "For I know the thoughts that I think toward you, says the Lord, thoughts of peace and not of evil, to give you a future and a hope. 12 Then you will call upon Me and go and pray to Me, and I will listen to you." Today I want to share wi...

No Greater Love

Image
Dear Partner, Family and Friends, Greater love has no one than this: to lay down one's life for one's friends.  - John 15:13 Recently, we celebrated Jewish Passover, our Easter.  Now, this weekend we remember the ANZACs  and those that have given their lives for their countries to purchase freedom and liberty that we have all come to enjoy.   As I reflect on these special days and the memorial services that are held in honour of those that have given their lives for us, I am reminded of the above scripture.  No greater love can anyone have than to give up their life for their friends, family and country.   It is the ultimate sacrifice.   In the ultimate act of love, two thousand years ago, Jesus Christ went to the cross to die for us.  The bible says in  Romans 5:6-10 , "You see, at just the right time, when we were still powerless, Christ died for the ungodly. Very rarely will anyone die for a righteous person, thoug...

Let It Rain!

Image
D ear Partners, Family, Friends, Rain just doesn't fall, it is gravity that pulls it down . - Charlotte Thom Zechariah 10:1 says, "Ask the Lord for rain in the time of the latter rain.  The Lord will make flashing clouds; He will give them showers of rain, grass in the field for everyone." I always remember, many years ago, when Charlotte Thom visited our church and spoke on the presence of God and the last great outpouring of the Holy Spirit.  God had spoken to Charlotte and He dropped this revelation into her spirit (I like to say, "A revelation is a kiss from God").  God has kissed Charlotte with this awesome revelation that rain just doesn't fall but the gravity of the earth pulls it down.  In the same way, she went on to explain, that it is the hunger in our hearts that draws the presence of God to us.   James 4:8 says, "Draw near to God and He will draw near to you. Cleanse your hands, you sinners; and purify your hear...

Success is a Journey

Image
Dear Partners, family and friends, Success is a journey, not a destination. - John Maxwell Success has a price. You have to be willing to pay the price for success.  You must be determined to pay the price in order to succeed.  Success involves serving; it involves loving others.   You will never be a success in God's eyes, if you don't love others.  You will never be a success, a true success, if you don't learn to serve and keep serving.   Jesus said, "If you want to be great in God's Kingdom, you have to be a servant of all."   There is a price to servanthood that we must pay, if we want to win.  It involves delayed gratification, because we get out of life exactly what we put into it.  It is the law of sowing and reaping.   Our mind, or the field of our mind, works the same way as a field in our world.  A farmer must weed his ground.  He must plough his ground. He must prepare...
